Courtesy Clerk
The Courtesy Clerk plays a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by supporting front-end operations and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment. This position assists customers with carry-out service, supports cashiers, and ensures store standards related to cleanliness, safety, and presentation are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner and provide carry-out assistance as needed
- Bag groceries accurately and efficiently, following company standards
- Retrieve shopping carts from parking areas and maintain cart corrals
- Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, restrooms, front-end areas, and parking lot
- Assist with basic stocking, facing, and product recovery as assigned
- Respond promptly to customer questions and direct them to appropriate departments
- Support cashiers and supervisors during peak periods
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and sanitation guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned by store management
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
- Ability to provide friendly and courteous customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Schedule Requirements
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
