Covenants Enforcement Inspector

The Covenant Enforcement Inspector serves as a key on site representative responsible for enforcing community covenants and supporting architectural compliance efforts. This role requires a high level of professionalism, organization, and emotional intelligence when interacting with homeowners.
The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, skilled in conflict resolution, and able to enforce governing documents consistently while maintaining respectful and positive relationships with residents. This position frequently involves addressing sensitive or heated situations and requires grace, patience, and strong customer service skills to achieve compliance and resolution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct routine on site property (home) inspections throughout the community to ensure compliance with the Association’s Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions and design standards.
- Manage all aspects of covenant enforcement including documentation, violation notices, follow up inspections, and escalation in accordance with Association policies.
- Communicate directly with homeowners to explain violations, educate residents on community standards, and guide them through the compliance and architectural review process.
- Handle difficult or emotionally charged interactions with homeowners calmly and professionally, diffusing tension and working toward resolution with empathy and clarity.
- Serve as a visible on site presence representing the Association in a fair, respectful, and customer focused manner.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, violations, correspondence, and compliance activity within the Association’s management system.
- Act as a central point of contact for covenant and architectural inquiries from residents, board members, and committee volunteers.
- Monitor ARC approved projects to ensure completion within approved timelines and in accordance with approved plans and specifications.
- Attend and support Covenants and Architectural Review Committee meetings, including preparation of documentation and follow up actions.
- Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of governing documents, design standards, approved exterior finishes, and landscaping requirements specific to the community.
- Utilize office software and management systems effectively to support daily operations, reporting, and record keeping.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned by the Community Association Manager.
