  • Serve as a senior operational resource for new project launches, transitions, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Assess project performance and identify opportunities to improve labor efficiency, productivity, service levels, and profitability.
  • Develop and execute corrective action plans for projects that are not meeting operational or financial expectations.

  • Partner with customers and internal leadership to identify solutions and ensure expectations are clearly communicated and achieved.
  • Review and manage project budgets, labor performance, billing, and P&L results.
  • Analyze KPIs and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of labor, billing, payroll, productivity, and project performance.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels across assigned projects through workforce planning, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and retention strategies.
  • Coordinate associate and leadership travel based on project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, safety requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and reinforce a strong culture of workplace safety.
  • Mentor Project Managers and emerging leaders to build a strong leadership pipeline within CPS.
  • Communicate project performance, risks, staffing needs, and action plans to senior leadership.
  • Support additional CPS projects and strategic initiatives as business needs require.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics, transportation, or a related industrial environment.
  • Experience leading managers, supervisors, and large hourly workforces.
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects, departments, locations, or operational teams strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead operations in fast-paced, high-volume, and changing environments.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor costs, and P&L performance.

  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be highly flexible regarding work schedules, including shift start times, weekends, holidays, and changing project requirements.
  • Must be comfortable traveling nationwide up to 80% of the year.

Capstone Logistics is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to quality through diversity. We are a Drug-Free Workplace.

The biggest change I made is that the Senior Manager isn't just a more experienced Project Manager. This person now has clear responsibility for multiple projects, Project Manager development, P&L performance, customer escalations, launches/turnarounds, and identifying underperforming operations and correcting them. That gives you a much stronger reason for the “Senior” title.

I’d also recommend setting the experience requirement at 5+ years rather than 3, especially if this person will be above CPS Managers. If you tell me the salary range and whether the Senior Manager will directly manage the CPS Managers, I can tighten this further into a version optimized specifically for Indeed/LinkedIn applicants
