CQ Lead – Warehouse & Packaging (Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences)
About our client: Our client is a leading global pharmaceutical company.
About the role:
- Ensure C&Q activities are executed in accordance with the Commissioning & Qualification Execution Plan and supporting plans.
- Develop C&Q strategies and procedures supporting the assigned scope.
- Lead the planning and execution of commissioning activities for allocated areas and systems.
- Lead and coordinate C&Q activities involving EPCM teams, Engineering, Operations and external vendors/contractors.
- Support the development and maintenance of the C&Q schedule.
- Coordinate planning and scheduling with supporting disciplines including HSE, Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation, Operations and Engineering.
- Guide preparation of C&Q documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness and alignment across systems.
- Lead preparation activities including start-up planning, procurement and vendor coordination.
- Coordinate with vendors on C&Q execution activities.
- Lead C&Q coordination meetings with relevant stakeholders.
- Report C&Q status, progress and issues during project stakeholder meetings.
- Review and approve CQV test scripts.
- Ensure discrepancies are appropriately reviewed, approved and tracked in accordance with the C&Q execution plan.
- Coordinate remediation activities and follow up on outstanding deficiencies.
- Support change control activities, ensuring impacts on cost, schedule and compliance are properly assessed.
- Ensure C&Q milestones are completed in accordance with the baseline project schedule.
- Ensure field C&Q execution is carried out safely and in accordance with site EHS requirements.
- Liaise with EPCM partners and vendors on design and construction issues.
- Participate in construction walk-downs and snagging activities for Mechanical Completion.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout C&Q execution.
- Support regulatory and inspection readiness for the assigned process areas.
About you:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical, Mechanical, Process or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional or technical qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Strong field CQV/C&Q execution experience.
- Extensive experience in packaging and/or warehouse systems.
- Experience with pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing projects.
- Strong knowledge and experience with cGMP requirements.
- Familiarity with Risk-Based Validation methodologies.
- Experience working with EPCM contractors, equipment vendors and third-party contractors.
- Strong project coordination and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively under strict project deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good written and spoken English.
