Summary

Assembles and tests high-precision electromechanical components for automation machinery in a lab setting, using technical drawings and precision tools.

Our client is a leading automation machinery manufacturer specialising in high-precision motion systems, robotics, semiconductor, and industrial automation solutions. Due to business expansion, they are hiring multiple Craftsperson / Assembly Technicians to assemble and test precision electromechanical products in a laboratory environment.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30am – 6:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble high-precision electromechanical products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Use hand tools, power tools, microscopes, and precision measuring instruments for assembly work.
  • Perform functional testing, calibration, and fine-tuning of completed assemblies.
  • Pack completed products for delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Nitec or Higher Nitec in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in assembly work within a manufacturing, automation, or electronics environment.
  • Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, or precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Good manual dexterity with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 20kg when required (lifting equipment is available for heavier components).
  • Willing to work overtime when required.
  • Able to work in a laboratory environment and wear PPE.
