If you’ve always had too many creative skills for one job title, that may be exactly why we want to meet you.
Too many creative skills for one job title? Perfect.
- Maybe you’re a designer who also shoots video.
- Maybe you write, build emails, understand social media, know your way around a website, and have been experimenting with AI.
- Maybe freelance life has taught you how to do a little bit of everything—but you’re getting tired of chasing clients, invoices, and your next project.
We may have a place for you.
Lloyd Pest Control is looking for a Creative Content & Marketing Ace to join our small, in-house marketing team in San Diego.
This is a highly varied creative position for someone who likes making things, learning things, finishing things, and seeing their work actually get used.
You will help shape how Lloyd Pest Control looks, sounds, and communicates across social media, email, print, photography, video, websites, newsletters, advertising, and whatever comes next.
And because our marketing team is small, you won’t be one tiny cog in a giant creative machine.
Your work will be visible.
About Lloyd Pest Control
We put bugs out of business! Lloyd Pest Control has been serving Southern California since 1931.
We’re a family-owned company approaching a century in business, with generations of history behind us and plenty of ideas about where we want to go next.
We are looking for a person with a unique outlook who is able to meld well with the voice, values, and proven qualities of our iconic century-old, family-owned business.
That means respecting what has worked for nearly 100 years while helping us communicate it in fresh, interesting, modern ways.
The Job:
Very varied. This is not a narrow “post three times a week” social media position.
Depending on the day, you might be photographing one of our employees in the field, creating a recruitment campaign, designing a flyer, editing a short video, writing a blog post, building an email campaign, experimenting with AI-generated concepts, updating a webpage, or helping put together our company newsletter.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Creating graphics, advertisements, flyers, presentations, digital content, and other branded materials
- Shooting and editing photography and video
- Developing content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other social platforms
- Helping plan and manage Lloyd Pest Control’s social media presence
- Writing and editing marketing copy, blog posts, headlines, captions, emails, and other content
- Building email campaigns, automated communications, and customer marketing programs
- Helping create digital newsletters and internal communications
- Making light website updates and assisting with landing pages and web content
- Using AI tools for research, ideation, writing, design exploration, image generation, workflow improvement, and creative experimentation
- Helping develop recruiting campaigns, customer campaigns, employee communications, and special projects
- Organizing creative projects and keeping them moving toward the finish line
- Looking for better, smarter, more interesting ways to communicate what Lloyd Pest Control does
You Do Not Have to Be World-Class at Everything
In fact, we don’t expect you to be.
We’re looking for someone who is exceptional in a few creative areas, capable in several others, and curious enough to keep learning the rest.
