Creative Frontend Engineer

UUG.AI turns camera streams into useful, real-time signals for operations teams. As a Creative Frontend Engineer, you make complex video operations feel clear and direct: live streams, recording timelines, spatial data, AI results and workflow configuration. Work across our React and Angular applications and shared design language.

Your responsibilities:

- Design and build responsive interfaces for live monitoring, recordings, analytics and AI-assisted workflows.

- Turn dense event and media data into clear timelines, visualisations, controls and progressive disclosures.

- Contribute reusable patterns to our design system while keeping product-specific experiences focused.

- Prototype and refine motion, canvas or WebGL interactions when they improve understanding.

- Improve accessibility, loading behaviour, rendering performance and cross-browser reliability.

- Collaborate with product, design and backend engineers from problem framing through release and iteration.

Full-time role with hybrid collaboration from Ghent, Belgium.

Confident TypeScript and production experience with React, Angular or a comparable component framework. Ability to turn a product problem into a thoughtful interaction, not only implement a finished mock-up. Understanding of responsive CSS, browser behaviour, semantic HTML and accessible interaction patterns. Care for component boundaries, state design, testing and performance in data-rich applications. Communicate through prototypes and code and welcome constructive critique.

Helpful, not all required: data visualisation, timelines, maps or spatial interfaces; Canvas, WebGL, Three.js or motion design; video players and streaming media; design systems, Storybook, visual testing or design tokens; performance profiling and accessibility audits. Relevant skills and practical experience matter; no mandatory diploma or fixed number of years.
