Creative Marketing Specialist

Real opportunities. Real impact. Your career, redefined.

(NOTE: A human reviews every application at Oceans, so please apply for only one position and only once a year—if you're a better fit for another role, we’ll route your application accordingly and if we’re not quite ready for you, we’ll reach back out later.)

At Oceans, we believe that talent knows no boundaries. That’s why we connect the best and brightest professionals with career-defining opportunities that challenge, inspire, and accelerate their career growth. Our community, whom we call Divers, don’t just work—they dive deep, solve complex challenges, and make a real impact with global industry leaders. And in doing so, they don’t just support bold ideas—they expand their skills, broaden their expertise, and grow their careers.

As a Creative Marketing Specialist, you’ll shape how brands communicate visually and emotionally across platforms. You’ll bring ideas to life through powerful storytelling, striking design, and consistent brand voice - ensuring that every piece of creative output builds recognition, drives engagement, and delivers measurable business impact. From concept to execution, you’ll balance creativity with strategy, crafting visuals and content that connect with audiences across digital touchpoints

Accountability

Your success as a Creative Marketing Specialist will be measured by your ability to combine creative excellence with data-driven execution. You’ll ensure that each design, campaign, and message not only captures attention but also achieves results.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

Creative Development & Execution

  • Conceptualize and design engaging, on-brand creative assets for digital campaigns, social media, websites, and email marketing.
  • Collaborate with marketing and growth teams to ensure visual and narrative consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Translate strategic objectives into compelling design concepts that resonate with target audiences.

Content Strategy & Optimization

  • Develop and adapt creatives for platform and channel-specific engagement (this can range from Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube to traditional communication channels and more).
  • Partner with the wider marketing team to test, measure, and iterate on creative elements for improved ROI.
  • Maintain and evolve brand guidelines to ensure consistency in tone, color, typography, and design systems.

Data-Driven Design & Insights

  • Analyze creative performance metrics (CTR, engagement, conversions, etc.) to inform design strategy.
  • Use insights from testing and analytics to continuously refine creative outputs.
  • Present performance insights to cross-functional teams, translating data into actionable creative recommendations.

Innovation & Collaboration

  • Stay ahead of creative trends, technologies, and tools (including AI and motion design).
  • Contribute to the development of scalable templates, assets, and workflows for efficient campaign production.
  • Collaborate closely with brand, growth, and content leads to ensure creative impact supports business goals.

Colleagues

Your closest collaborators will include members of the marketing, content, and growth teams—each working together to produce high-performing, visually cohesive campaigns.

At Oceans, you’ll also receive guidance and support from your Operations Manager, who will help you succeed in the role and ensure you’re continuously developing your creative, analytical, and strategic capabilities.

Skills and Qualifications

At Oceans, we believe in T-shaped individuals—those who bring deep expertise in one area paired with broad curiosity and collaboration. As a Creative Marketing Specialist, your vertical focus will be on creative concepting, design execution, and brand storytelling—ensuring that every asset aligns with the brand’s identity and objectives. Your horizontal focus will span performance insight, cross-functional teamwork, and process innovation, connecting creativity with measurable business impact.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Experience: 3–5 years in creative marketing, content production, or brand design, ideally within a digital-first or consumer brand.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Figma; familiarity with generative AI tools and video editing software.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret engagement metrics and optimize creative performance based on data.
  • Creativity & Strategy: Strong storytelling and conceptual thinking with an understanding of marketing objectives.
  • Mindset: Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating at the intersection of creativity and analytics.

Diversity of experience is core to Oceans. You are expected to work inclusively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, ensuring that both personal and collective dignity are supported.

During the interview process, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your skills in the following areas:

  • Creative Concepting & Storytelling: How do you turn a brief into a campaign concept across formats (video, carousels, ads, email)?
  • Channel-Specific Optimization: How do you adapt creatives for various marketing channels while maintaining performance and brand voice?
  • Data-Driven Iteration: Share examples of A/B tests you’ve run (visuals, copy, hooks) and how insights changed your creative direction.
  • Brand Consistency & Systems: How have you upheld (or evolved) visual identity and tone across assets? Any templates or design systems you’ve built?
  • Tools & Workflow: Walk through your toolset (Adobe/Figma/Canva/AI/video) and your end-to-end production workflow.
  • Problem Solving & Process Improvement: Describe a time you streamlined creative ops, sped up production, or improved QA.
  • Portfolio Walkthrough: Present 2–3 campaigns; explain the brief, your role, rationale, results, and what you’d iterate next.
