Creative Producer Editor
Job Summary
Responsible for creating, producing, and editing high-quality video content that promotes student-athletes, athletic programs, and institutional initiatives across digital, social media, and broadcast platforms. Leads all phases of video production, including planning, shooting, editing, and content distribution. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop content strategies that support marketing and engagement objectives while mentoring student workers and maintaining video production equipment and archives.
Essential Functions
• Conceptualizes, produces, and delivers a diverse portfolio of video content, including game recaps, feature stories, promotional videos, and social media assets.
• Plans, shoots, edits, and distributes video content across multiple digital and social media platforms.
• Ensures all video content aligns with brand standards, strategic messaging, and organizational goals.
• Captures high-quality video footage during live events, practices, interviews, and special activities.
• Utilizes audience insights and digital media trends to optimize content performance and engagement.
• Collaborates with coaches, marketing staff, athletic communications personnel, and other departments to identify and develop content opportunities.
• Participates in strategic planning discussions and develops video content strategies that support marketing and communications objectives.
• Manages all aspects of video production, including scriptwriting, scheduling, directing shoots, and overseeing post-production activities.
• Implements innovative storytelling and production techniques to enhance fan engagement and audience experiences.
• Mentors, trains, and provides guidance to student workers and interns regarding equipment operation, storytelling techniques, and industry best practices.
• Conducts instructional workshops and training opportunities to support student development in video production and content creation.
• Maintains video production equipment and ensures cameras, lighting, audio, and related technologies remain operational and up to date.
• Organizes, archives, and manages video assets and metadata to support content retrieval and long-term storage requirements.
• Monitors emerging industry trends and technologies and recommends improvements that enhance production quality and operational effectiveness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement
Bachelor's degree in Video Production, Digital Media, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Broadcasting, or a related field.
Experience Requirement
2 years of experience in video production, digital media, content creation, sports media, broadcasting, marketing communications, or a related field.
Experience using Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects, operating cinema cameras, ENG lenses, audio equipment, lighting systems preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Certifications & Licensures
Valid Driver's License preferred.

Physical Demands
This position requires regular standing and walking during athletic events, video shoots, and production activities; regular sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods while editing video content; and regular repetitive hand and arm movements associated with editing software, camera operation, and production equipment. The position requires intermittent lifting, pushing, and pulling of video production equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds, occasional setup and breakdown of production equipment, intermittent exposure to loud event environments, and occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Employees must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet production deadlines, and maintain creativity and attention to detail in a fast-paced media environment.
