The role in one line

Own the full creative funnel at Peak: the ads, the landing pages they send people to, and the organic social that surrounds them. What we make, why we make it, how much ships each week, and whether it worked.

About Peak Saunas

Peak Saunas is a premium direct-to-consumer infrared sauna brand. We design our own product line and sell direct to customers across the US. We're a small, fully remote team, and we're building out a growth function that runs paid acquisition and social as one system. This hire is the first dedicated creative role on that team and sits at the center of it.

What success looks like at 12 months

You've built a repeatable weekly creative pipeline that hits its launch quota without heroics. Every ad concept ships with a clear hypothesis (persona, angle, hook, funnel stage), lands on a page you wrote and built to match it, and gets read against Northbeam within days of launch. Our organic channels post consistently and on brand without anyone chasing you. You know which iterations to scale and when to feed net-new concepts into the account. Our athlete and partner content comes back shoot-ready because you told them exactly what we needed and when. And you have a bench of freelance designers, editors, and agencies you can drop a brief on Monday and get finished assets from by Thursday.

What you'll do

  • Own creative strategy for paid. Develop personas, angles, hooks, and offers across TOF / MOF / BOF, and decide how each piece fits into the ad account structure.
  • Run the creative pipeline. Work backwards from the marketing calendar, ad spend budget, media mix, and platform mix to set and hit weekly creative quotas for static and video.
  • Write and brief. Produce ad copy, scripts, and creative briefs yourself, and brief freelancers and agencies so the output comes back right the first time.
  • Measure and decide. Read hook rates, CTR, and downstream performance in Northbeam and the platforms. Decide how many winning iterations to launch versus how many net-new concepts to test each cycle.
  • Direct content capture. Work with high-profile athletes, partners, and non-creator talent to get the highest quality raw content, including a clear shot list of what we need and when we need it.
  • Manage the bench. Source, brief, and manage freelance designers, video editors, and agencies. Own quality, turnaround, and cost.
  • Build the landing pages yourself. Every ad you brief gets a matching page: advertorial, listicle, comparison, quiz, or PDP variant. You write the copy and build the page end to end with our in-house tooling. No design or dev handoff.
  • Run organic social. Own the content calendar, creation, and posting across our organic channels. Paid is the priority. Organic runs on the same engine, mostly repurposing what wins in paid plus a light layer of daily posting, and should take a fraction of your week.

What we're looking for

Required

  • 4+ years in performance creative or paid social creative strategy, either as a senior at an agency or a senior on the growth team of a DTC brand.
  • Deep working knowledge of paid social creative: ad formats, hooks and hook rates, angles, personas, offer testing, and copywriting.
  • Strong copywriter across the full funnel. You can write the ad and the landing page it clicks through to, and keep the message consistent from hook to checkout.
  • Have written and built direct-response landing pages (listicles, advertorials, comparison pages) and understand why each format exists.
  • Understand TOF / MOF / BOF as it applies to creative and how each stage plays into an ad account.
  • Hands-on experience reading performance in Northbeam or a comparable attribution platform, and comfortable making launch and kill decisions from the data.
  • Experience managing freelancers and agencies on both static and video.
  • Have run a weekly creative launch cadence tied to a spend budget and platform mix.
  • Have worked with talent, athletes, or partners who are not professional creators and gotten strong content out of them.
  • Have managed organic social content creation and posting for a brand, not just paid.
  • Organized enough to run a pipeline solo. This is a coordinator role as much as a strategist role.

Preferred

  • You bring your own network of freelance designers, editors, and agencies that can plug in immediately.
  • Experience with high-AOV, considered-purchase products.
  • CRO experience: page testing, structure, and offer presentation.
  • Big plus: you can produce ads yourself with AI tools (static and video), not just brief them. You'd still write the brief and send it to freelancers and agencies, but you'd also make your own versions alongside theirs and put them all into test.

Compensation

$70,000 to $90,000 base, depending on experience, plus a capped performance bonus tied to creative launched and how it performs.

Where this goes

This is the first dedicated creative hire on a growth team we're building now, and the person in this seat is first in line to lead it. The path is real: creative strategist today, growth leadership or another senior marketing seat as the team grows, and equity once you're the head of something. We're a small company growing fast, and we'd rather promote the person who built the machine than hire over them.

How we work

Fully remote. You'll report to our Brand Manager and work closely with the CEO. Small team, high ownership, fast decisions. You will not be handed a playbook; you'll write it.

How to apply

No cover letter. Send a video, 8 minutes max, answering the four questions below, plus a link to 3 to 5 ads you've made. Put the video link and the ad links in your application note.

Roughly two minutes per question. We're looking for how you think, not polish.

What happens next. If the video lands, we'll do a short call, then a paid two-week trial: you and our team, cranking out briefs and creatives together using your contacts and ours. Real work, real spend, real feedback. If it works for both sides, you're hired.

1. Creative strategy. Walk us through how you'd build the first month of creative for us: which personas and angles you'd start with, how you'd split concepts across TOF, MOF, and BOF, and how you'd decide what gets a static versus a video.

2. Reading performance. You've launched 12 new concepts this week. By Thursday, two have strong hook rates but weak conversion, one converts well off a low hook rate, and the rest are flat. In Northbeam or whatever attribution tool you use, what do you look at, what do you kill, what do you iterate, and how many net-new concepts go into next week's batch versus iterations of the winners?

3. Landing pages. An ad you briefed is working. Tell us what page it clicks through to and why that format (advertorial, listicle, comparison, PDP) over the others. Then tell us how you keep the message consistent from the hook to the checkout, and what you'd change on the page first if click-through is high but purchase rate is low.

4. Running the machine. You have a set monthly spend, a marketing calendar, a weekly creative quota, a shoot next month with an athlete who has never made content before, and a bench of freelancers. Explain how you work backwards from the calendar and budget to hit the quota, what you send the athlete before the shoot so you get exactly what you need, and how you keep freelancers and agencies delivering on time.
