Creative Strategist (Design & Visual Storytelling)
Location: Lagos/Hybrid
Department
Creative / Brand / Marketing
Reports To
Head of Creative
Role Summary
We’re hiring a Creative Strategist who can design
excellently, understands the fundamentals of cinematography/visual
storytelling, and can consistently align creative output with brand strategy.
This role is for a high-potential creative (3+ years) who is
ready to take on more ownership, think beyond “nice visuals,” and grow into a
future Creative Lead / Head of Creative. You’ll work closely with the
Head of Creative, strategy, and production teams to translate insights and
brand direction into strong, coherent visual systems across static, motion, and
video.
Key Responsibilities
A) Brand + Strategy Translation
- Interpret
briefs, insights, brand positioning, and campaign objectives into clear
creative direction.
- Ensure
designs are consistent with brand identity, tone, and business goals.
- Participate
in ideation and help shape campaign visual routes (key visuals, content
worlds, visual metaphors).
B) Graphic Design & Visual Systems
- Design
and deliver high-quality assets across:
- Social
content (static + carousel)
- Performance
creatives (ads, banners, thumbnails)
- Campaign
materials (KV rollouts, adaptations)
- Pitch
decks and presentation design
- Build
and maintain templates and design systems for consistency and speed.
- Apply
strong layout, typography, hierarchy, and art direction standards.
C) Visual Storytelling + Cinematography (Working
Knowledge)
- Create
mood boards, style frames, and references for motion/video work.
- Collaborate
with videographers/editors to guide:
- Framing,
mood, lighting references, pacing, and overall visual tone
- Review
video/motion outputs to ensure they align with brand and creative intent.
You don’t need to be a cinematographer — but you must
understand how visuals translate in motion.
D) Creative Ownership + Growth
- Own
creative tasks end-to-end: brief interpretation → concept → execution →
refinements.
- Improve
creative quality through proactive suggestions and attention to detail.
- Begin
supporting creative leadership by:

responsibility for small projects/workstreams
- Helping
guide junior creatives/freelancers when needed
