Creative Systems Developer
Location:
Hybrid onsite in Culver City, CA or Cupertino, CA
Schedule: 40 hours
Duration: 12 months
Pay: $62.45-$69.15 DOE

The Planet Group is looking for a Creative Systems Developer to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 12-months contract, working a hybrid onsite schedule in Culver City, CA or Cupertino, CA

Creative Systems Developer | Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or backend development - ideally with exposure to media, design, or creative production environments.
  • Experience with high-performance network-attached storage (Qumulo or similar platforms such as Isilon, NetApp) and data backup strategies.
  • Experience in utilizing AI to develop automation and tooling, integrating models and agentic workflows into internal services, and applying AI-assisted development to engineering tasks.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for building APIs, automation, and tooling.
  • Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure (S3, EC2, or similar).
  • Proficiency with shell scripting and Linux server administration in production environments.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP) and troubleshoo4ng system performance.
  • Experience with Git version control, CI/CD workflows, and configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, JAMF, etc.), as well as Terraform.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug across applica4on, system, and network layers.

Creative Systems Developer | Description:

  • Spearhead the research and implementa4on of new technologies to improve team efficiency and capabilities.
  • Build and maintain automation tooling in Python and shell scripting to streamline infrastructure operations and creative workflows.
  • Deploy, manage, and scale services on Kubernetes clusters.
  • Integrate infrastructure components with internal and external tools and systems.
  • Drive systems engineering projects to completion by working closely with technical business partners.
