Creative Visual Content Designer, Growth Marketing (LATAM)
Description
Role Overview:
Acendeo is a nearshore staff augmentation company that places vetted senior LATAM developers with US engineering teams. We operate on a flat, all-inclusive monthly rate with no recruiting fees and fast sourcing.
We are looking for a Creative Designer to own the visual output of our growth engine. This is not a product UX role. Day-to-day work includes building social media carousels, blog featured images, social media graphics, YouTube thumbnails, newsletter templates, ad creatives, and branded collateral, all designed to drive engagement, clicks, and demo requests. This role works directly with the Growth and Content Managers, copywriter, and company founders, moving fast on a weekly (sometimes daily) content calendar.
Location: Remote (LATAM)
Type: Contract (part-time or full-time, depending on fit)
Key Responsibilities:Brand and Marketing Design (60%)
• Design LinkedIn carousels, static posts, and story formats aligned with a weekly content calendar.
• Create blog featured images, article graphics, and pull-quote visuals.
• Design YouTube thumbnails and video title cards.
• Build creative ad campaigns for paid campaigns across LinkedIn, Google, and Meta.
• Design newsletter layouts and email header graphics.
• Produce branded collateral: pitch decks, one-pagers, case study layouts, event graphics.
• Adapt a single content brief into platform-specific formats (LinkedIn, Instagram, website, email), with appropriate aspect ratios, text density, and visual hierarchy for each.
• Design sales enablement materials: case study layouts, infographics (cost comparisons, hiring timelines), testimonial cards, process overview visuals, ROI calculators, pricing breakdowns, onboarding welcome kits for new clients, and visually polished candidate profiles.
Motion and Video (15%)
• Create short, animated graphics for social media (logo reveals, text animations, data visualizations in motion).
• Produce simple motion assets for video intros, outros, and transitions.
• Design animated ad creatives where static formats underperform.
Template Systems and Brand Scalability (15%)
• Build and maintain a reusable template library in Figma (or Canva) that non-designers on the team can use for quick social posts, internal decks, and basic marketing materials.
• Maintain and extend Acendeo's brand system: typography, color palette, component library, iconography, and illustration style.
• Document design guidelines so the founders and content manager can produce on-brand assets without routing every request through a designer.
Performance-Driven Iteration (10%)
• Review content performance data (engagement rates, click-through rates, demo request conversions) and adjust visual approaches based on what works.
• Run informal design experiments: test headline treatments, CTA button styles, image-versus-illustration, layout variations.
• Collaborate with the Growth Content Manager on A/B testing graphic elements to optimize conversion on the website and landing pages.
Required Skills and Experience:
• 3+ years of professional experience in marketing design, brand design, or graphic design (not product/UX design alone).
• A portfolio that includes marketing assets: social media graphics, ad creatives, landing page designs, email templates, carousels, or branded collateral. We need to see shipped marketing work, not just wireframes and user flows.
• Proficiency in Figma for component-based design systems and rapid asset production.
• Working knowledge of at least one motion/animation tool: After Effects, Lottie, Rive, Jitter, or equivalent. We need someone who can produce short animated social graphics.
• Strong typographic instinct and layout sense for formats that compete for attention in a social feed, not just within a product interface.
• Ability to adapt a single content idea into platform-specific visual formats with an understanding of why a LinkedIn carousel, an Instagram story, and a website banner require different treatments.
• Comfort working at startup speed: same-day turnarounds are regular, not exceptional.
• Fluent or advanced English (written and verbal). Daily communication with US-based stakeholders.
• Experience working with brand guidelines and translating them into consistent visual output across channels.
• Familiarity with content performance metrics (engagement rate, CTR, conversion rate) and a willingness to iterate designs based on what the data shows.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with AI-assisted design workflows (Midjourney, DALL-E, Adobe Firefly, or similar for generating product imagery, backgrounds, or visual concepts).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) alongside Figma.
• Experience building Canva or Figma template kits that non-designers can use independently.
• Familiarity with tools like Hotjar, PostHog, or similar for understanding how users interact with designed pages.
• Prior experience at a B2B SaaS company, agency, or tech startup where marketing design was the driver of growth initiatives.
• Experience designing for the nearshoring, staffing, or HR tech space.
• Video thumbnail design experience (YouTube, Vimeo).
• Basic understanding of CRO concepts: how visual hierarchy, CTA placement, and page layout affect conversion rates.
• Entry-level video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar) for cutting short-form social clips, adding text overlays, and assembling simple reels. This is a plus, not a requirement.
