Overview

Creator Match is seeking a Creator Marketing Manager, YouTube Specialist to lead creator-side strategy, talent selection, negotiations, and execution across YouTube marketing campaigns for B2B, SaaS, AI, and technology brands.

We're looking for someone who understands the YouTube creator ecosystem, can identify valuable partnerships, negotiate competitive rates, and oversee successful sponsored content from sourcing through publication.

The CMM works alongside the Account Manager, YouTube Specialist, who owns client relationships, campaign objectives, budgets, and client-side success. The CMM owns creator strategy, sourcing, commercial negotiations, creator relationships, and creator-side outcomes.

Each CMM is partnered with a dedicated Creator Associate who handles primary creator-side execution. The CMM directs priorities, reviews work, manages escalations, and remains accountable for results.

Role Summary

The Creator Marketing Manager, YouTube Specialist combines platform expertise, commercial judgment, and creator relationship management to deliver successful YouTube partnerships.

This role requires a strong understanding of channel performance, sponsorship economics, long-form content, production workflows, and how YouTube differs from short-form influencer marketing.

The CMM oversees execution through the Creator Associate and supporting Creator Coordinators and Draft Reviewers while retaining ownership of creator-side strategy, approvals, escalations, and outcomes.

Core Skillsets Required

YouTube Creator Strategy & Talent Selection

  • Translate campaign briefs and brand objectives into effective YouTube sourcing strategies.

  • Evaluate channels on audience relevance, views, engagement, retention, content quality, and brand safety, not subscriber counts alone.

  • Identify strong creator partnerships across B2B, SaaS, AI, and technology categories.

  • Recommend creator mixes, sponsorship formats, and campaign approaches aligned with objectives and budgets.

  • Direct Creator Associates on sourcing criteria, review recommendations, and present creator selections to clients alongside the Account Manager.

  • Flag competitor conflicts, exclusivity restrictions, emerging talent, and repeat partnership opportunities.

YouTube Sponsorship & Content Strategy

  • Recommend sponsorship formats, including dedicated videos, integrations, pre-roll and mid-roll mentions, and Shorts.

  • Guide integration placement, product demos, messaging, storytelling, and calls to action.

  • Balance brand requirements with creator authenticity and audience expectations.

  • Understand how video topics, placement, retention, discoverability, and evergreen content drive performance.

  • Stay current on YouTube trends, platform developments, and creator marketing practices.

Creator Rates, Offers & Negotiations

  • Set creator rates using historical performance, average views, audience quality, deliverables, usage rights, and industry benchmarks.

  • Evaluate sponsorship economics, including CPM, cost per view, and value by integration format.

  • Review and approve creator offers; direct Creator Associates on outreach and responses.

  • Own negotiations with creators and talent managers, including counteroffers, packages, exclusivity, licensing, and commercial exceptions.

  • Present rates to clients when appropriate and communicate budget implications to the Account Manager.

  • Escalate commercial risks and ensure negotiated terms are accurately documented.

YouTube Campaign & Content Oversight

  • Own creator-side execution from sourcing and contracting through production, publication, and follow-up.

  • Direct Creator Associates on priorities, timelines, creator communication, and deliverables.

  • Oversee production milestones (briefing, scripting, filming, editing, reviews, approvals, and publishing) and resolve delays, missed commitments, and scope changes.

  • Partner with Draft Reviewers on content quality and brand alignment, and provide strategic review of scripts, drafts, and integrations.

  • Verify tracking links, promo codes, description requirements, and FTC and YouTube disclosures.

  • Coordinate creator-specific approvals and escalations with the Account Manager.

Creator Relationships & Performance

  • Own strategic relationships with creators, talent managers, and agencies, including escalations, disputes, and reliability issues.

  • Identify high-performing creators for rebooking, multi-video, and recurring partnerships.

  • Analyze creator-level results (views, retention, engagement, CTR, and conversions) against historical channel results and sponsorship benchmarks.

  • Recommend improvements to creator selection, formats, integrations, and future bookings.

  • Provide creator-specific insights to Account Managers, who own client reporting and campaign ROI.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including rates, representation, performance history, availability, and relationship notes.

Team Direction & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Direct, prioritize, and review the daily work of the assigned Creator Associate, delegating administrative tasks to Creator Coordinators.

  • Provide feedback, coaching, and quality oversight while remaining accountable for creator-side results.

  • Maintain clear ownership boundaries: the AM owns client relationships, campaign KPIs, budgets, reporting, and retention; the CMM owns creator strategy, talent relationships, negotiations, and creator-side execution.

  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Draft Reviewers, Account Coordinators, contracts, finance, and leadership to resolve dependencies.

  • Support YouTube specialist leadership on platform best practices, training, and strategic improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Proven experience in creator marketing, influencer marketing, talent management, or creator partnerships.

  • Hands-on experience sourcing, negotiating, and managing long-form YouTube sponsorships.

  • Strong understanding of YouTube channel evaluation, audience performance, sponsorship formats, and production workflows.

  • Experience negotiating creator rates, deliverables, usage rights, and commercial terms.

  • Experience overseeing sponsored content production, quality reviews, publishing, and escalations.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns, direct team members, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience managing YouTube creator programs for B2B, SaaS, AI, or technology brands.

  • Established relationships with YouTube creators, talent managers, or agencies.

  • Familiarity with YouTube Analytics, YouTube Studio, CPM benchmarks, creator CRMs, and influencer marketing platforms.

  • Experience negotiating multi-video packages, recurring partnerships, licensing, and paid usage.

  • Experience coaching or directing junior team members.

Measures of Success

  • Creator Strategy: Quality of channel selection, sourcing, and sponsorship approaches.

  • Commercial Performance: Competitive rates, favorable terms, and effective creator-side budget management.

  • Campaign Execution: On-time deliverables, content quality, and proactive issue resolution.

  • Creator Performance: Effectiveness of partnerships, integrations, and creator-level results.

  • Creator Relationships: Strong talent partnerships, repeat bookings, and professional issue management.

  • Team Leadership: Effective delegation, coaching, and accountability.

  • Operational Excellence: Accurate records, clear communication, and cross-functional alignment.

Additional Responsibilities

Improve YouTube creator sourcing, negotiation, production, and content review processes.

Help establish creator benchmarks, platform-specific best practices, and stronger long-term talent partnerships.

Support broader Creator Marketing initiatives, strategic projects, and business priorities.
