Credit Analyst
As a Credit Analyst, you will play a vital role in our Back Office department, contributing to the financial health and stability of our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to assess the creditworthiness of potential borrowers and manage existing credit facilities. This role requires a methodical approach, excellent judgment, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
- Conduct thorough credit analyses and evaluations of potential borrowers, including financial statement analysis, cash flow assessments, and industry research.
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports and recommendations for approval or rejection, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and manage existing credit facilities, including regular reviews of borrower performance and financial health.
- Identify and mitigate credit risks, implementing appropriate strategies to minimize potential losses.
- Collaborate with underwriters, relationship managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless credit approval process.
- Stay updated on industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact credit decisions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all credit-related activities, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Provide support and guidance to junior analysts, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing credit processes and systems.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit analysis or a similar role, preferably in the BFSI industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Proficiency in using financial analysis tools and software, such as Excel and specialized credit analysis platforms.
- Good understanding of financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, and risk assessment techniques.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
