Credit Analyst
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and assess customer credit applications by evaluating financials statements, payment history, and external credit reports.
- Prepare clear credit risk assessments and credit scoring report to support decision making.
- Recommend appropriate credit limits and terms to the designated approver based on risk analysis.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation for all credit reviews and approvals ensuring audit readiness.
- Collaborate with sales team to balance commercial objectives with prudent risk management.
- Provide guidance and clarification to internal stakeholders regarding credit policies and approval requirements.
- Liaise with external credit reporting agencies and other third-party information providers for credit intelligence and due diligence.
- Participate in projects to enhance credit assessment workflows, approval processes, and operational efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum one (1) to two (2) years of relevant working experience in credit analysis or account receivable.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent.
- Exposure to a shared services experience or multinational environments is an advantage.
- Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Good understanding of financial statements and credit risk indicators.
- Familiar with credit scoring models, risk matrices, and data governance practices.
- Familiarity with billing and AR principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas)
- Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders. Well converse in English, Bahasa Malaysia in both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- Great attention to details with high level of accuracy in data handling.
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking skills.
- An additional ability to converse in Mandarin verbally & in writing would be preferable.
