Analyst.
Requirements
Job Description/Responsibilities:
Financial Statement Analysis:
- Analyze
financial statements, credit reports and other relevant data to assess the
creditworthiness of SME and private loan clients.
- Ascertain
the Profitability, Liquidity, and Leverage ratio of the business to
determine repayment capacity.
- Recommend
eligible loan amounts for approval Credit Risk assessment
- Evaluate
credit risk associated with loan request and provide recommendations on
credit limits, terms and condition.
- Evaluate
economic, socio political and regulatory factors that may affect the
continuity or operations of the loan client.
Collateral Recommendation:
- Recommend
appropriate collateral mix acceptable by the bank to act as a buffer in
the event of loan default
- Ensure
assets to be pledged as collateral are adequately valued by the Bank’s
accredited valuers.
- Ensure
the value of the asset to be pledged as collateral meets the Bank’s
stipulated collateral coverage.
Loan Interview
- Communicate
with clients to gather financial information, clarify credit report
discrepancies and provide credit decisions.
- Visit
the client’s business premises for advanced due diligence depending on the
loan amount or threshold set by the bank.
Loan performance Review and Reporting
- Review
the performance of loan portfolio on a monthly basis
- Generate
a report to Management showing the collection efficiency rate of SME and
private loans processed monthly.
Requirements / Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree/HND preferably in Banking and Finance,
Accounting, Business Administration, Economics. (other disciplines can be
considered)
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a credit analyst.
