Credit Analyst (LW)
Summary
Analyzes corporate clients' financial health and repayment ability for credit approvals, using financial statements, models, and risk assessments in a banking environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct credit analysis to assess corporate clients' financial performance, repayment capacity, and creditworthiness.
- Review and analyze financial statements, financial ratios, cash flow, and business performance.
- Prepare credit papers, financial models, and cash flow projections to support credit decisions.
- Perform industry and sector research (Aviation, Shipping, Financial Institutions, Middle Market, and General Corporates).
- Identify credit risks, recommend mitigating factors, and support credit approval submissions.
- Work closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, and internal stakeholders throughout the credit approval process.
- Monitor borrower performance, financial covenants, and emerging credit risks.
- Ensure timely completion of credit reviews while maintaining accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Banking, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, Credit Analysis, Credit Risk, or Audit.
- Prior experience in credit writing within Corporate Banking is required.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, financial modelling, and credit risk assessment.
- Experience covering Middle Market, Financial Institutions, Shipping, Aviation, or General Corporate portfolios is advantageous.
- Good understanding of corporate lending structures, credit approval processes, and risk management.
- Strong analytical, communication, report writing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English is required. Additional language proficiency may be beneficial where relevant to business needs.
