Summary

Performs credit risk analysis for individuals and businesses, evaluating financial health and repayment ability to support lending decisions and minimize losses.

Job Objective/Goal

To conduct accurate and timely credit risk analysis, assessment, and monitoring to support sound credit decisions, maintain portfolio quality, and minimize the company’s potential credit losses.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct credit assessments for credit applications submitted by individual and corporate customers.
  2. Assess borrowers’ financial capacity and repayment capability through analysis of financial statements, cash flow, and business profiles.
  3. Identify and evaluate credit risks associated with each credit facility application.
  4. Prepare credit analysis reports (credit memos) and provide recommendations for credit decisions.
  5. Monitor the quality of the credit portfolio and borrowers’ collectability on a regular basis.
  6. Conduct early warning assessments to identify borrowers with potential credit issues.
  7. Prepare data and reports for the Credit Committee and management.
  8. Support the development and improvement of credit policies and procedures.
  9. Coordinate with business units, Relationship Managers, and the Legal Department throughout the credit process.
  10. Document all credit analysis processes and decisions in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.

Authority

  1. Request financial information and supporting documents from borrowers or relevant business units.
  2. Provide recommendations for credit approval or rejection to the direct supervisor.
  3. Escalate high-risk or problematic credit cases to the Senior Credit Risk Analyst.
