Credit and Lending Support Officer / Corporate Banking Officer
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support the Bank’s corporate lending, credit review, and risk management functions.
Fresh graduates from Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplines are warmly encouraged to apply. Prior banking experience is not mandatory. We welcome candidates who are curious, proactive, creative in problem-solving, and able to turn ideas into practical actions.
This role provides exposure to corporate lending, credit analysis, KYC/CDD, loan monitoring, stress testing, and financial statement analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with relationship managers, credit/risk teams, and Head Office, and will have the opportunity to grow together with the operation.
Responsibilities
- Perform Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) in accordance with MAS standards and the Bank’s AML and KYC policies.
- Liaise with relationship managers and sales teams to identify and resolve documentation deficiencies and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Assist in preparing periodic loan reports, credit review materials, and credit/liquidity stress testing reports to support risk assessment and management decision-making.
- Conduct credit reviews of loans and securities to assess creditworthiness, repayment capacity, and risk exposure.
- Analyse financial statements, accounting items, and business information using Excel to support financial evaluations and credit assessments.
- Apply business, finance, accounting, and economic knowledge to perform cross-industry financial analysis and research.
- Support the development and improvement of the Bank’s lending, credit monitoring, and risk management policies and procedures.
- Propose practical ideas to improve workflow efficiency, reporting quality, and operational effectiveness.
- Execute additional duties related to corporate lending, credit review, and risk management as assigned by the Department Head.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or university degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other related disciplines.
- Fresh graduates with strong interest in banking, corporate finance, credit analysis, or risk management are encouraged to apply.
- No prior banking experience is required, but candidates should be willing to learn and grow in the areas of corporate lending, financial analysis, and credit risk management.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to handle financial and business information carefully.
- Creative, proactive, and execution-oriented, with the ability to propose ideas and follow through on implementation.
- Good communication skills and willingness to work with different stakeholders, including relationship managers, risk teams, operations teams, and Head Office.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin, including reading and writing, to facilitate communication with Mandarin-speaking associates and Head Office.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Good Excel skills are preferred.
