Credit Evaluation Officer
Summary
Evaluates loan applications for individuals and SMEs, applying credit risk principles to approve or reject facilities while ensuring the bank’s lending book remains low-risk.
To assist Personal Private Banking (PPB), Digital Lending and SME Business in achieving their asset growth targets by providing effective value adding risk management, whilst maintaining a quality-lending book, through judicious and effective management thereof. he delivery of a professional service to the business units, by assessing and evaluating credit facilities (new and/or existing) based on sound credit & financial principles which supports the minimizing of risk to the bank.
Type of Qualification: First Degree
Field of Study: Business Commerce, Finance, Accounting or any related field
Experience Required
- Banking experience, particularly pertaining to credit risk management, banking processes with regard to banking products and the operation thereof.
- Broad knowledge of applicable Acts and Bank Manuals.
- Experience in intuitive credit assessment and decisioning in relevant segment and products.
- Energetic and with sound decision skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of repayment structures and collateral.
- Must be able to work under pressure and remain focussed.
- Analytical with a tolerance for high volumes and problem absorption whilst detailed oriented.
- Understanding of collection processes within the banking environment is beneficial
