Credit Manager - Bhimavaram
Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Manager to oversee all aspects of credit operations in our Bhimavaram branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing credit risk, ensuring compliance with company policies, and contributing to the overall financial health of the branch.
Job Responsibilities**
* Manage the end-to-end credit assessment and approval process for various loan products, including retail and business loans.
* Conduct thorough financial analysis of loan applications, including evaluating creditworthiness, collateral, and repayment capacity.
* Develop and implement effective credit policies and procedures in line with corporate guidelines and regulatory requirements.
* Monitor and manage the credit portfolio, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
* Lead and mentor a team of credit officers, providing guidance and training to ensure high performance and adherence to best practices.
* Collaborate with sales and operations teams to achieve business targets while maintaining credit quality.
* Prepare and present credit reports and analyses to senior management.
* Ensure compliance with all internal and external credit-related regulations and audits.
* Handle customer queries and complaints related to credit decisions and processes.
* Stay updated on industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes affecting credit risk.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CA, CFA) is a plus.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in credit management, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
* Proven experience in credit assessment, risk analysis, and portfolio management.
* Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and various lending products.
* Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong leadership and team management abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Proficiency in relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and credit analysis tools.
* Knowledge of local market dynamics and regulatory environment in Bhimavaram and surrounding areas is highly desirable.
