Credit manager - Gudur
Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Manager to oversee all aspects of credit granting and collection for our operations in Gudur. This role involves managing credit risk, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Manage the full credit lifecycle, from application assessment to collections and recovery.
* Conduct thorough credit analysis of new and existing customers, utilizing financial statements, credit reports, and industry data.
* Establish and maintain credit limits and terms for customers in line with company policy and risk appetite.
* Develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts and bad debt.
* Monitor accounts receivable aging and proactively identify potential credit risks.
* Negotiate payment plans and resolve credit-related disputes with customers.
* Prepare regular reports on credit performance, collections, and risk exposure.
* Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance departments to ensure smooth credit operations.
* Stay updated on industry trends, credit regulations, and economic conditions impacting credit risk.
* Lead and mentor a small team of credit analysts or officers (if applicable).
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in credit management, preferably within a relevant industry.
* Proven track record of successful credit risk assessment and collection efforts.
* Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, credit scoring models, and legal aspects of credit.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in credit management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of the local market and business environment in Gudur is an advantage.
