Credit Origination Analyst -Business Banking
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum of a first degree in Finance, Economics, or relevant field. A second degree and/or professional qualification in finance related field will be an advantage.
- At least 6 years working experience in Banking and specifically in Credit Admiration and Management
Have in-depth understanding of the Business Banking. - Working experience in management role.
- Strong Financial Statement and Balance Sheet Analysis Skills and the ability to identify warning signs from a business’ financial statement.
- Strong credit data analysis and credit management skills.
- Conceptual understanding of credit policies/principles and how successful it’s application will lead to market success.
- In-depth understanding of financial markets, and the application of the entire range of products and services available to meet the needs of the bank’s Business Banking clients.

KEY RESULT AREAS
- Identify credit and risk management requirements at the initial stage of the credit application, valuate business risk and proposal viability from a credit risk perspective
- Utilize industry risk analysis available to identify threats to existing and potential clients
- Evaluate credit application memos to ensure that they comply with the bank’s credit and collateral policies
- Analyze business proposals providing sound financial and business justification within acceptable risk parameters relative to profitability.
- Manage the bank’s commercial credit portfolio on on-going basis and be responsible for transactions within the portfolio.
COMPLIANCE AND CONTROL
- Achieve operational excellence in all aspects of procedures and processes undertaken to ensure satisfactory audit.
- Abide by the bank’s Information Security Management Systems policies and procedures
Safeguard the bank’s information assets in accordance with its ISMS policies and procedures. - Ensure compliance with operations risk requirements e.g. KYC and money laundering.
RISK AND COMPLIANCE
- Ensure prompt and adequate compliance responses to Sanctions and AML/CFT enquiries sent in by Compliance department
- Take part in all annual mandatory refresher training organized by Compliance
- Report all suspicious or fraudulent activities to Compliance or via whistle blowing toll-free line.
- Signs off all PEP accounts and the Combined Risk Framework.
