Job Description:
At Regions, the Credit Products Commercial Banking Group Manager provides leadership and oversight for a broad team of first-line associates responsible for delivering credit support across the Commercial Middle Market, Commercial Leveraged, Government and Institutional Banking (GIB), and Small Business Administration (SBA) segments. This role is responsible for ensuring sound risk management practices, high-quality credit decisions, effective credit product delivery, strong asset quality, and the development of high-performing teams. In partnership with business, risk, and operational stakeholders, this role drives operational excellence, consistency, and continuous improvement in support of the organization's growth and risk objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
Develops and manages key performance indicators for the Middle Market, including approval documentation quality, credit servicing quality, and credit approval turnaround time
Acts as a liaison to Credit Review, Risk Management, and Audit teams for identification of any weaknesses in the risk management practices of Middle Market teams
Hires, develops, coaches, manages, and mentors team leaders responsible for hiring, developing, coaching, managing, and mentoring Credit Products associates supporting underwriting and portfolio management activitie
Ensures Regions recruits, develops, and retains associates with the skills, experience, and potential needed to maintain a deep and sustainable talent bench
Creates and maintains strong working relationships with key stakeholders including Middle Market Executives, Credit Officers, Client Coverage Teams, Capital Markets Teams, Senior Leadership, and Human Resources
Ensures new loans and renewals are underwritten in accordance with prudent risk standards and applicable loan and credit risk management policies
Serves in a leadership position for all risk management initiatives and activities regarding the Middle Market
Serves as a coaching resource around client selectivity, loan structuring, underwriting, servicing, and risk rating
Leads credit product activity delivery and support for the Middle Market
Serves, periodically, on committees, task forces, and groups as needed
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Fifteen (15) years of commercial banking/commercial credit experience
Six (6) years of managerial experience
Completion of a major corporate credit training program or the equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance experience
Significant accounting, finance, and capital markets knowledge
Preferences
Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a related degree

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
