Credit Analysts evaluate and determine the credit risks of the high risk, high dollar amount and more complex commercial and consumer clients through detailed financial statement analysis, industry assessment, collateral valuation, and cash flow analysis. Must demonstrate working knowledge of applicable federal regulations and internal Mid-Missouri Bank loan policy.
Essential Duties
- Compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of individual or company being evaluated to determine risk.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses to come to a credit decision.
- Prepare reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money
- Compile reports regarding finance and credit data.
- Complete credit analyses and summaries of loan request, and submit to loan committees for approval.
- Comply with all Bank policies/procedures and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations
- Market, train, counsel, advise and communicate credit department policy and procedures to company personnel.
- Comply with security procedures established to ensure safety for employees and customers, to protect the privacy of customer account and financial information, as well as, follow fraud prevention guidelines established to protect the Bank from unnecessary losses
- Generate financial ratios, using computer programs, to evaluate customers financial status
- Maintain meeting documents that include
- CDC agendas
- CDC minutes
- Maintain Egnyte
- Prepare loan reviews outlined in the loan policy
- Assist in gathering information requested by examiners/auditors during bank examinations
- Other duties as assigned
