Credit Risk Analyst

Open 45d

About The Role

As Credit Risk Analyst at Circle, you are the engine room of credit risk execution. You support the Head of Credit Risk in maintaining the Business Rules Engine, monitoring portfolio risk indicators & producing the analysis that drives every policy & modelling decision. You will work hands-on with CIC bureau data, KCI behavioural scores, application data & Pismo transactional data - turning raw inputs into the dashboards, test cases & policy memos that keep the programme on track. This is a build role: you will write SQL, run UAT, configure DMN tables & see your work go live in production.

Key Responsibilities

BRE Maintenance & Testing: Support development, configuration & maintenance of credit risk rules, scorecards & decision trees in Scienaptic. Conduct UAT for every BRE rule change - including Postman API testing, response validation & test case sign-off.

Decision Engine Monitoring: Verify that BRE outputs are correct across all application paths (PCB_KO_check, Application_Paths, Card_for_Card, Standard). Investigate decisioning anomalies & partner with Tech to root-cause issues.

Data Analysis: Extract, clean & analyse application data, CIC bureau pulls, KCI behavioural scores & Pismo transaction data. Build the queries & the cuts that answer the credit risk questions.

Risk Monitoring Dashboards: Build & maintain risk reporting - approval rate trends, score distribution drift, DPD bucket migration, FPD monitoring, segment-level performance. Surface early warning signals before they become losses.

Modelling Support: Support the Head of Credit Risk on scorecard development & recalibration - feature engineering, WOE/IV analysis, model validation, performance tracking (PSI, KS, Gini).

Champion–Challenger Support: Help design experiments, manage data collection & measure outcomes for credit policy A/B tests.

Documentation & Governance: Document DMN configurations, policy rationale, model methodology & change history for auditability, governance & regulator review.

Ad-hoc Analysis: Respond to risk questions from the CRO, the CEO & partner-bank counterparts. Turn fuzzy questions into clear answers backed by data.

Policy Document Support: Help maintain Circle's policy documents (CIR-RISK-POL-xxx) - drafting changes, gathering evidence, preparing bilingual EN/VI submissions for review.
