Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Scientist with a specialization in credit risk analysis to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will utilize your strong analytical skills, statistical expertise, and knowledge of credit risk assessment to drive data-driven decision-making and contribute to the enhancement of our credit risk management framework.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze credit risk data: Conduct comprehensive analysis of credit risk data to identify patterns, trends, and potential risk exposures. This data includes historical loan performance, customer behavior, financial statements, external market factors, and other relevant data sources.
  • Model development: Develop and implement advanced statistical and machine learning models to predict credit risk, evaluate portfolio performance, and assess potential default rates.
  • Risk assessment and performance monitoring: Monitor credit risk performance and develop reports and dashboards as needed to provide regular updates to stakeholders. Identify potential areas of risk and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective risk mitigation strategies and actions.
  • Run experiments: Design and execute A/B tests and other experiments to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and credit policy changes.
  • Data management and integration: Work closely with the Data Engineering team to ensure proper data collection, storage, and integration from various sources. Collaborate to optimize data infrastructure and implement efficient data processing pipelines.
  • Collaboration and communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations on credit risk-related matters. Clearly communicate complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a related role (credit risk analyst and/or data scientist), preferably within the fintech, credit, or banking industry
  • Experience in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning
  • Experience in risk portfolio analytics and developing credit-scoring models is a plus
  • Experience in deploying machine learning models is a plus
  • Ability to write SQL queries
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and insights to diverse audiences
