Credit Risk Senior Manager

You will lead end-to-end credit risk and pricing strategy for managed credit card programs. You will design, implement, monitor, and refine consumer and commercial underwriting, line assignment, and pricing policies. You will partner with data science and product teams on risk models and automated underwriting data strategies. You will support capital-markets structures, provide partner analytics, prepare risk documentation, report performance KPIs to senior management, and advise bank partners and customers on improvements to their credit strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end credit strategy initiatives from framework design through implementation and monitoring
  • Build, review, and refine consumer and commercial credit card risk and pricing strategies
  • Adjust credit card policies based on portfolio performance and risk trends
  • Establish strategies to improve approval rates, new accounts, loss rates, and profit margin
  • Partner with data scientists to build credit risk and cash flow models
  • Develop underwriting automation data strategies with product teams
  • Support securitization structures, warehouse lines, and forward flow deals
  • Provide loss forecasts and profitability analysis to co-brand partners
  • Draft underwriting and risk documentation
  • Support bank partners with model validation and governance
  • Report KPIs and risk performance to senior management
  • Advise bank partners and customers on credit strategy improvements
  • Collaborate with Banking, Product, Finance, and Capital Markets stakeholders

Requirements

  • 8+ years building credit card risk and pricing programs across consumer and/or commercial underwriting
  • Experience owning credit policy, risk strategy, monitoring, and adjustment across the credit card lifecycle
  • Experience designing approval, line assignment, and pricing strategies
  • Experience conducting risk assessments for prospective partners
  • Experience developing acquisition strategies across card programs
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Math, or a related field
  • Expertise in Excel and SQL modeling
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, finance, compliance, bank partners, and capital providers
  • Ability to communicate complex credit concepts to executive, partner, and cross-functional audiences
