Key Responsibilities\:
- Report to Supervisor, on all issues related to the maintenance of aircraft components.
- Assign manpower based on the required work and component spares requirements for the systems.
- Maintain a hands-on presence to ensure that tasks are completed on time, identifying any issues that could jeopardize the component output from the shop. Communicate with employees and management to determine what level of assistance could be required to complete tasks in a reasonable time frame.
- Ensure that all required paperwork and documents are properly completed on an assigned shift.
- Ensure that maintenance personnel are properly instructed regarding the inspection and maintenance methods to be employed.
- Through the continuous surveillance of the assigned workloads, maintain a line of communication with the Supervisor or Maintenance Operations Control on component status.
- Ensure that safety precautions and good housekeeping standards are observed by all personnel.
- Direct and Supervise the workforce as laid out in the Collective Agreement.
- Hold and maintain a driver/apron permit for the respective airport.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, and the safety of co-workers and customers.
- This position may involve shift work and nights.
