About the role
Working Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00, you'll be responsible for the effective crewing and resource planning of a fleet of over 100 HGV vehicles. This is a key role focused on ensuring the operation is consistently resourced while developing recruitment, retention, and workforce planning strategies to support business growth.
You will be responsible for:
Managing the crewing requirements for a fleet of 100+ HGV vehicles
Leading driver attraction, recruitment, onboarding, and retention activities
Managing agency relationships, monitoring agency usage, and driving reductions in agency spend
Planning staffing schedules, holiday cover, and workforce availability to meet operational requirements
Producing, maintaining, and analysing key performance indicators to monitor workforce performance and resource efficiency
Monitoring driver compliance and maintaining a working knowledge of driver hours regulations and driving legislation
Working closely with operational teams to support business performance, resource planning, and continuous improvement
About you
You'll be a highly organised and people-oriented professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy operational environment. Experience in workforce planning, recruitment, transport operations, or resource management would be advantageous.
