Center for Community Resources Crisis Intervention Services is looking for a compassionate mental health professional. Crisis Intervention services include telephone and mobile assessment, crisis counseling, conflict resolution, referral and linking to community resources. Work in a supportive team environment while helping people access mental health/drug and alcohol services in Cameron and Elk Counties.
This is a casual on-call position, evening/overnights. Must be flexible to cover weekends responding to mental health emergencies. Crisis Intervention services operate 24/7, 365 days year, so willing to help as needed.
The salary range for this position is $21.54/hr - $25.09/hr. We also offer a possible higher salary based on experience. Crisis Counselors will be part of an on-call rotation to respond to the community. The On-Call hourly rate is $23.00/hr and we pay a stipend of up to $400.00 per week when covering on call for one full week.
Essential Functions:
· Provide mobile mental health crisis intervention, assessment for safety and general needs.
· Complete all reports and documentation in a timely fashion.
· Maintain quality standards.
· Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and some additional office hours.
· Able to exercise sound judgement.
· Maintain strict confidentiality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field required. With major course work in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, history, criminal justice, nursing, counseling, education, theology, political science or related field AND one year experience in mental health field required.
Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, Act 33/34 and FBI clearances will be required. Individuals who have accessed human services are encouraged to apply. EOE/ADA
