Crisis Specialist - Part Time Weekends

The Crisis Specialist interviews consumers, completes assessment, treatment plans, and crisis intervention. Outreaches as required. Answers a 24 hour hotline. Expected to report for work in inclement weather. Additional tasks will be added at Director’s discretion.

Legacy operates the State-designated Screening and Crisis Intervention Program for Burlington County, providing evaluations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis or posing a danger to self, others or property.

We make it our priority to screen and triage individuals in crisis within community settings as opposed to a hospital setting. Our certified screeners and mental health professionals work together to stabilize the crisis and determine the most appropriate, least restrictive treatment option.

Hours:

Part Time; Available shifts include: Saturdays & Sundays - 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., or 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Rates & Benefits:

Base Pay Rate is 20.50 per hour plus one of the following, if applicable:

  • Master's degree +$1.00 per hour
  • Master's degree and LAC or LSW +$3.00 per hour
  • Master's degree and LPC or LCSW +$.50 per hour
  • Temporary Screener Certification +1.00 per hour
  • Full Screener Certification +$2.00 per hour
  • 5 years' experience per DMHAS standards post-degree +1.50 per hour
  • 10 years' experience per DMHAS standards post-degree +3.00 per hour
  • 15 years' experience per DMHAS standards post-degree +4.50 per hour

This is a Part Time position with the following benefits:

  • Training opportunities provided throughout the year
  • Part-time staff will receive a $9.60 bonus retention bonus for each eight-hour shift worked in the six-month time period
