About Nova Complex

Established in 2023, Nova Complex (“Nova”) is built on a foundation of deep industry expertise and a clear mission: to catalyse the development of next-generation digital infrastructure across Finland and beyond. We are committed to accelerating the energy transition by delivering high-value, sustainable solutions that meet the evolving needs of global hyperscale customers.

As a full-stack, vertically integrated platform, Nova combines local insight with vast experience in designing tailored infrastructure that optimizes both performance and efficiency. We are focused on markets with a strong growth trajectory, ensuring that our projects contribute positively to the local economy and the future of digital connectivity. At Nova, we don’t just manage infrastructure; we build the backbone of a sustainable digital future.

About the Role

As a key member of the Finland Data Center Operation team, you will lead the strategic lifecycle management of critical power infrastructure. This role ensures 24/7 mission-critical availability of UPS, backup generation, and HV/LV distribution systems. You will bridge the gap between Finland’s grid requirements (Fingrid/DSO) and our sustainable energy optimization goals, ensuring compliance with EN 50600 and EU carbon neutrality standards.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Fingrid / DSO Coordination: Manages the coordination with Fingrid and local DSO, Coordinate power maintenance schedules with the Fingrid / DSO, collaborate closely to quickly identify and resolve power faults, and minimize the impact of power outages on data center operations.

  2. Electrical System O&M: Governance of Preventive Maintenance Programs for electrical equipment, monitor key parameters (voltage, current, power factor), and promptly eliminate hazards. Utilize Finland’s low-temperature advantage to optimize system operation and reduce energy consumption.

  3. Incident Response & Critical Power Recovery: Respond to electrical faults (tripping, unstable power supply, etc.) quickly, conduct emergency disposal per Finnish OSH Act and safety standards, and minimize business impact.

  4. Compliance & Safety Control: Ensure operations comply with Finnish electrical regulations, EN 50600 series, GDPR and OSH Act. Participate in safety drills (extreme cold, power outage) and hidden danger inspections.

  5. System Optimization: Analyze operation data, optimize UPS mode and reactive power compensation, and participate in energy-saving projects (harmonic treatment, intelligent PDU deployment).

  6. Supplier & Document Management: Cooperate with local suppliers, power grid departments and regulatory authorities, supervise maintenance quality. Maintain standardized technical documents compliant with Finnish and EU requirements.

  7. Team Collaboration: Provide technical support to the team, share experience on Finnish S1/S2 standards, and coordinate with mechanical/HVAC teams for seamless operation.
