CRM Manager
Description
Are you ready to shape the future of how Australia eats?
We’re looking for an experienced CRM Manager to own CRM for Marley Spoon and Dinnerly in Australia. This is a hands-on role with big local targets. You’ll move seamlessly between strategy and creative execution, turning CRM into an always-on retail channel that gets customers buying from our range faster and more often through cut-through, fit-for-channel assets. You’ll set the strategy, own the calendar, write the creative briefs and the sends, and be accountable for the results.
You won’t just run campaigns. You’ll be the CRM expert in our Australian team and think like a retailer, putting the right recipes, add-ons and offers in front of the right customer at the right time, and proving the impact on orders, basket size and revenue.
We’re building an AI-first CRM function, and we want you to lead it. You’ll question why things are done the way they are and rebuild them with AI at the core.
The Opportunity
Own the numbers: Set and deliver the Australian CRM strategy and targets for Marley Spoon and Dinnerly, from first order and repeat purchase through to retention and win-back. You’re accountable for revenue, order value and basket size, not just the comms.
Run the calendar: Own the CRM calendar across email, push, SMS and in-app, built around our menu, new recipes, add-ons and key retail moments. You decide what goes out, to whom and when.
Build an AI-first CRM function: Use AI across copy, personalisation, segmentation, testing and reporting. Build and test new workflows quickly, and scale what works.
Write and brief: Write campaign copy end to end, and brief our in-house creative team on assets that are clear, on-brand and built to convert.
Test, learn and grow: Run a structured test-and-learn programme with clear hypotheses and holdouts. Use segmentation (with our CRM Analyst) and the automation roadmap to put the right recipes, add-ons and offers in front of the right customer.
Work across the business: Partner with Brand, Revenue Management, Culinary, Growth and Customer Care locally, and with CRM teams in Europe and the US. Look after list health, consent and deliverability in line with the Spam Act and ACMA.
What we’re looking for:
You’ll thrive in this role if you bring proven commercial experience and a strong profitability orientation over both the short and long term, and can turn creative ideas into engaging assets that convert. You’re action-oriented and take on tough challenges with urgency and energy. You’re comfortable being the CRM expert in the room, owning a number and making it all come together without a big team around you.
You’ll bring:
6+ years of hands-on CRM experience in subscription, retail or e-commerce, running a high-frequency, product-led CRM calendar and merchandising a range through CRM.
A track record of owning CRM targets and delivering profitable growth, measured on conversion, order frequency, basket size and revenue rather than opens and clicks, while protecting margin and list health.
Proven expertise in a CRM platform such as Iterable or Braze, building and sending campaigns yourself, with strong segmentation and analytical skills.
Strong copywriting and experience transforming CRM output with AI, using it to write, test and scale near-final copy at speed, with measurable results.
A proven test-and-learn approach, running A/B tests and holdouts and making decisions based on the results.
Bonus points if you have:
Experience in a meal kit, food or CPG business.
Technical skills such as Handlebars, Liquid or SQL.
Working knowledge of Australian Spam Act and ACMA requirements for email and SMS.
Experience scoping and briefing automated lifecycle journeys.
Experience working across multiple brands and ranges.
