Discussion

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a CRO Manager – Growth & Conversion Optimization based in Brazil.

We are looking for an experienced CRO Manager to drive sustainable growth by turning customer behavior and data into measurable business results. In this role, you will lead the conversion rate optimization process from identifying funnel inefficiencies to developing hypotheses, prioritizing experiments, and translating findings into actionable strategies. You will collaborate closely with Growth, Acquisition, Product, Creative, and Data teams to improve the customer journey and maximize revenue opportunities. Working in a fast-paced, technology-driven eCommerce environment, you will champion rigorous experimentation and data-informed decision-making. Rather than focusing on the number of tests, you will prioritize initiatives with the greatest potential business impact. This is an opportunity to shape experimentation strategy, influence cross-functional decisions, and contribute directly to the growth of global direct-to-consumer brands.

Accountabilities

  • Own the end-to-end conversion rate optimization process, including problem identification, hypothesis development, prioritization, experiment execution, results analysis, and implementation of actionable insights.

  • Analyze the complete customer conversion funnel, including landing pages, product detail pages, checkout flows, quizzes, pricing, and messaging, to identify friction points and opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop robust, data-driven hypotheses by combining quantitative performance metrics with qualitative customer insights and behavioral analysis.

  • Prioritize experimentation initiatives according to expected business impact, revenue potential, acquisition efficiency, and customer retention rather than implementation convenience.

  • Serve as a CRO subject matter expert across Growth, Acquisition, Product, Creative, and Data teams, influencing strategic discussions and aligning stakeholders around conversion opportunities.

  • Collaborate with acquisition and creative teams to align messaging and customer expectations, and work with product and implementation teams to translate hypotheses into effective experiments.

  • Maintain high experimentation standards by ensuring reliable test setups, appropriate KPIs, accurate audience segmentation, and statistically sound analysis wherever applicable.

  • Build and maintain a structured experimentation backlog, documenting hypotheses, expected outcomes, test results, key learnings, and recommended next steps.

  • Evaluate experimentation results critically, draw reliable conclusions, and translate findings into business recommendations, even when data is incomplete or ambiguous.

  • Challenge low-impact initiatives and encourage teams to focus resources on experiments that can deliver meaningful improvements.

  • Promote a strong culture of experimentation, continuous learning, and accountability while increasing CRO maturity across the organization.

  • Requirements:

    • 4–6 or more years of professional experience in conversion rate optimization (CRO), experimentation, growth marketing, or other performance-driven roles.

    • At least 2 years of experience leading a team, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, or providing leadership in a growth-oriented environment.

    • Demonstrated experience working in high-volume, fast-paced eCommerce or direct-to-consumer (DTC) businesses.

    • Proven ability to identify conversion funnel bottlenecks, understand customer behavior, and develop compelling, evidence-based hypotheses.

    • Strong prioritization skills, with the ability to evaluate opportunities based on expected business impact, commercial value, and strategic relevance.

    • Experience designing, coordinating, and evaluating experiments, with a strong understanding of testing methodology, KPI selection, segmentation, and result interpretation.

    • Ability to connect CRO insights with broader business objectives, including revenue growth, acquisition efficiency, customer experience, and retention.

    • Familiarity with acquisition strategies, customer journeys, creative messaging, landing page optimization, and eCommerce product experiences beyond dedicated CRO tools.

    • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to make informed decisions when data is incomplete or multiple interpretations are possible.

    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence teams, challenge assumptions constructively, and align diverse functions around shared priorities.

    • A proactive, structured, and commercially minded approach to experimentation, with a focus on learning quality, measurable outcomes, and continuous improvement.

    • Comfort working in a dynamic, globally distributed environment where speed, ownership, collaboration, and adaptability are essential.

    • Benefits:

      • Work arrangement: 100% remote, with the position based in Brazil.

      • Compensation: Competitive salary in USD.

      • Paid time off: Access to paid leave to support work-life balance and personal well-being.

      • Global collaboration: Opportunities to work with a diverse, international team across multiple markets and functions.

      • Technology-driven environment: Exposure to AI, automation, and advanced growth strategies within a digitally native eCommerce business.

      • Professional development: Opportunities to expand expertise in CRO, experimentation, growth strategy, and data-driven decision-making.

      • Meaningful business impact: Direct involvement in initiatives that influence conversion performance, customer experience, and revenue growth.

      • Collaborative culture: An environment that encourages innovation, rapid learning, cross-functional partnership, and ownership.

      • Continuous improvement: The opportunity to shape experimentation practices and help establish scalable optimization processes across multiple brands.
