About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable backend services for a cryptocurrency exchange platform.
• Implement and optimize core trading engine functionalities, including order matching, price discovery, and execution.
• Develop secure and efficient APIs for internal and external integrations.
• Build and maintain systems for user account management, wallet services, and transaction processing.
• Ensure the high availability, reliability, and performance of the exchange infrastructure.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend services with the user interface.
• Work closely with DevOps engineers to automate deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
• Implement security best practices to protect user data and financial assets.
• Conduct code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and participate in the full software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a production environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development, with demonstrated experience in building high-frequency trading systems or financial platforms.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL databases).
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with message queueing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency trading mechanics, order books, and blockchain technology is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of security principles relevant to financial systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with a focus on performance optimization.
