Cryptocurrency Intelligence Analyst
Summary
Research crypto exchanges and custodians, analyze blockchain/off-chain data for AML risks, and link real-world entities to blockchain activity.
You will research and document cryptoasset service providers such as VASPs custodians OTC desks and exchanges. You will analyze blockchain and off-chain data identify risk indicators apply AML concepts profile entities and collaborate with intelligence analysts to link real-world entities to blockchain representations. You will also maintain automated pipelines for VASP coverage processes.
Responsibilities
- Research and document cryptoasset service providers
- Analyze blockchain and off-chain data to identify risk indicators
- Assess how crypto businesses operate within or outside global regulatory frameworks
- Apply AML concepts to profile entities accurately
- Collaborate with intelligence analysts to link real-world entities to blockchain representations
- Own a caseload of entity research and profile VASPs custodians OTC desks and exchanges
- Identify coverage and process improvements
- Design and maintain automated pipelines for VASP coverage processes
Requirements
- Demonstrated interest in cryptoassets financial crime compliance or international finance
- Basic understanding of anti-money laundering concepts including beneficial ownership sanctions and enhanced due diligence
- Comfort navigating structured and unstructured data to assess business activity and risk profiles
- Eligibility to work in the US
- Familiarity with VASPs crypto exchanges or custodians
- Experience with open-source intelligence public company registries or financial regulatory research
- Knowledge of global AML frameworks or crypto regulation
