Summary
Implements a Splunk-based monitoring and alerting solution for cryptographic infrastructure, serving as subject matter expert for Thales Luna hardware security modules (HSMs) and extracting telemetry via SNMP. Also writes design/test specifications, administers Windows and Linux servers, and helps shape the cryptographic service management roadmap.
- Participate in the implementation of a new monitoring and alerting solution using Splunk.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Thales Luna Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and other HSMs.
- Extract relevant data from Thales Luna HSM devices using SNMP.
- Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and share expertise.
- Write design and test specifications related to observability projects.
- Contribute to project documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Help define the roadmap for continuous improvement in cryptographic service management.
- Identify and escalate potential issues promptly; apply creative problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of HSMs, specifically Thales Luna, and related monitoring technologies.
- Apply understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity principles, and industry standards/regulations.
- Utilize stakeholder management skills to meet the needs of multiple parties.
- Foster innovation and contribute new ideas in a collaborative team environment.
- Operate and administer Windows and Linux servers.
- Ensure strong documentation practices.
- (Optional/Nice to Have): Hold academic or professional qualifications in cryptography, cybersecurity, or related fields; possess industry certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM), or have formal education in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or Computer Science.
