CSA Design Lead
Summary
The CSA Design Lead will oversee technical design information, manage technical risks, and provide engineering support for data center construction projects. The role involves reviewing design outputs, leading coordination with regional teams, and delivering value engineering solutions.

We are currently seeking an experienced CSA Design Lead to join our Technical Services team. This role will be responsible for technical oversight of CSA Design information, evaluation of technical compliance and management of technicals risk as well as delivering support, conceptual and Value Engineering options to Project and estimation teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry-out technical reviews of Design information
- To assess the technical accuracy of the information provided at Tender stage
- To review Designers output against contracted requirements
- To provide ad-hoc technical support to regional Design Teams
- To review projects for Lessons Learned
- To deliver solutions for VE and concept designs
- To develop and deliver discipline centric CPD
- Proactively identify and resolve technical, design, and coordination issues
- To lead discussions with regional Design teams and Designers and manage open Risk items to conclusion
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or similar discipline
- Minimum 7 years’ experience within the CSA Engineering, Design Engineering, CSA Lead Engineer, or similar role.
- An in-depth knowledge of design principles and structural analysis
- Strong exposure in designing to Eurocodes
- Experience of completing technical reviews
- Excellent organisational, communication, and coordination skills
- Strong understanding of CSA construction sequencing, methodologies and co-ordination
- Has proven ability to work with multidisciplinary and BIM teams
- Experience of pre-cast and portal frame structures is advantageous
- Experience of Data centre, industrial, or mission-critical project experience is advantageous
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage and develop others
- Proactive, diligent, and solutions-focused approach with a strong eye for detail.
- Demonstrated leadership capability – able to delegate effectively, prioritise workloads, lead productive meetings, and act as a role model for others.
- Proficiency to work with multiple software packages including MS Office, Navis, ACC, etc
