CSA Inspector (Data Center) - Architecture
Summary
On-site inspector ensuring architectural and fit-out work in a data center meets approved plans, codes, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Inspect architectural construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes/standards.
- Monitor and verify the quality of architectural materials and workmanship, including walls, partitions, ceilings, raised floors, waterproofing, doors, finishes, and building envelope systems.
- Ensure all architectural works meet quality, safety, statutory, and environmental requirements.
- Identify, document, and report non-conformances, defects, and quality issues, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve technical and quality-related issues.
- Witness and record key architectural installation activities and inspections.
- Review shop drawings, method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality documentation related to architectural works.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, site reports, punch lists, and quality documentation.
- Support site supervision to ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved schedules and quality standards.
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on architectural inspection status, quality issues, and project progress.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all inspection activities.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders and escalate critical issues to the appropriate line manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of construction experience, preferably in data center, mission-critical, or large-scale commercial projects.
- Experience in inspecting architectural and fit-out works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Good knowledge of design review processes and pre-construction documentation, including Method Statements, ITPs, and Quality Plans.
- Strong understanding of architectural finishes, waterproofing, building envelope systems, fire-rated assemblies, and fit-out works.
- Ability to review shop drawings and verify site installation quality.
- Proficient in Thai and English, both written and spoken.
- Strong coordination skills and ability to work effectively with site, quality, safety, and project teams.
- Client-side, full-time site-based experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
