CSR - Scooper/Cashier

Job Overview:

The person filling the Ice Cream Scooper/Cashier position will be responsible for taking orders to prepare and serve ice cream/milkshakes in a potentially demanding environment. Entering purchases using the cash register. This employee will also interact one-on-one with customers and co-workers while maintaining a professional look and demeanor. This employee will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the food preparation area(s).

Duties and Responsabilities

• Serve ice cream and other frozen desserts to customers with a friendly demeanor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the scooping area, including equipment and utensils.
• Operate cash registers accurately, processing customer transactions efficiently.
• Prepare and serve all offered menu items, while adhering to food safety standards.
• Engage with customers to provide recommendations based on their preferences.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
• Receive in and stock inventory
• Follow all company policies and procedures

Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent customer service skills required
• Knowledge of money handling- counting, receiving, and giving change
• Must work well with others including the public
• Willing to learn and maintain proper food preparation practices
• Must be able to keep clean facilities in the work environment
• Basic understanding of computers and cash register
• Must be responsible and flexible
• Must be detail-oriented

Education & Experience

• Prior food service experience preferred
• Customer Service experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for long periods during shift
