CTHP: Commercial Service Technician

Commercial HVAC Technician

Comfort Temp — Jacksonville, FL

5+ years turning wrenches on commercial HVAC? Good. We don't need to teach you the trade — we need you to bring it.

If your truck's got more tools in it than your neighbor's whole garage, and you've never met a rooftop unit you couldn't fix, we want to talk to you. Comfort Temp needs a Commercial HVAC Technician who already knows the difference between a real day's work and a desk job. We've got the trucks, the accounts, and the crew — you bring the know-how.

Who We Are

Comfort Temp Company has been keeping Florida's buildings comfortable since 1985 — Gainesville, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa. We handle commercial and residential HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical work for customers who expect it done right the first time, not the third.

We run on four rules, and we don't apologize for them:

  • Do what you say.
  • Do what it takes.
  • Walk with purpose.
  • Do the right thing.

No corporate mumbo-jumbo, no politics — just show up, put in an honest day's work, and tell the truth. That's it. That's the whole culture.

The Job

Commercial HVAC and refrigeration work — starting, servicing, maintaining, repairing, installing. Bigger buildings, bigger systems, and the kind of problems that separate the guys who know their trade from the guys who just watched a YouTube video once.

What You'll Do

  • Service and install commercial HVAC equipment
  • Handle control wiring and start-up procedures — you've done this before
  • Inspect and adjust new equipment so it runs right from day one
  • Operate, reclaim, and charge refrigerants the correct way
  • Solder and braze copper piping; install PVC for condensation lines
  • Keep your truck stock squared away — parts and supplies where they belong
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and fix them, not just flag them and move on

What You Bring to the Table

  • 5+ years maintaining, repairing, and installing refrigeration and HVAC units — or equivalent training that backs it up
  • EPA certification, plus any required permits/licenses to work on HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Solid knowledge of HVAC safety practices
  • Attention to detail — the kind that catches problems before they become callbacks
  • Sound judgment and a straight-shooter approach to ethics and confidentiality
  • Clear, direct communication with your crew and with customers
  • A strong back — comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in tight, hot spaces
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical plans and wiring diagrams

Why Comfort Temp

We don't hang our values on a wall and forget about them. We hold each other to them — in the field, in the office, in every conversation. We pay for real work, not just a warm body punching a clock, and we build careers for people who show up and earn it.

If you want a place where your effort actually shows up in your paycheck and your reputation, this is it.
