Summary

Defines and validates cured tire, track, and system models—including geometry, materials, BOM, and drawings—using finite element analysis, simulations, and DOE to meet customer specifications and Michelin quality standards.

MISSION

The cured tire designer, developer, analyst_1 defines and validates a cured model or an associated technology (tire or tire component, external and Internal geometry, materials, …)
• track designer, analyst_1 defines and validates a cured model or an associated technology (track or track component, external and Internal geometry, materials, …)
• system designer, analyst_1 defines and validates mechanical systems model or an associated technology (system or system component, external and Internal geometry, materials, …), BOM & Drawings

to satisfy internal/external customer needs while respecting the Design rules (safety, Standard and Reg., …), applying the best practices, and complying to the Michelin quality system and associated constraints (Norms and Regs, etc.)

Key Expected Achievements

The designer_1 or developer_1 develops or modifies

  • For cured tire and track: cured models which respect a specific CdC (in terms of performances, costs, timing, etc.) within a predefined framework (portrait-robot, déclinaisons, tire line extensions, modifications to existing models while taking into account industrial constraints, OE CdC / customer specifications, etc.)
  • For system: mechanical assemblies related to track systems which respect a specific CdC (in terms of performances, costs, timing, etc.), within a predefined framework (system line extensions, modifications to existing models as well as creation of new ones while taking into account industrial constraints, OE CdC / customer specifications, etc...

The designer_1 or developer_1 provides the synthesis for studies or test plans as well as the conclusion on conformity from the CdC.

The analyst_1 provides

  • For cured tire and track: technical studies (simulations, essais limités, DOE, etc.) at the request of others (developers/designers, PdCs, PdEs, etc…), taking into account capabilities and limits of available tools and methods.
  • For systems: technical studies (analytical calculation (bearings, structural, simulations, physical validations, DOE, etc.) at the request of others (developers/designers, PdCs, PdEs, etc.), taking into account capabilities and limits of available tools and methods.

The Track & System analyst_1 develops or modifies finite element analysis of both track and system while taking into account industrial constraints, OE CdC / customer specifications, etc.)
