Custodian - 2nd Shift

2nd Shift Custodian

Monday through Friday 2pm - 10pm

General Role Description: You will be responsible for general housekeeping and cleaning of assigned areas.

Key Role Accountabilities

· Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and seep cleaning of floors in offices and common areas

· Washes accessible interior and exterior windows

· Clean, sanitize and replenish restrooms using established practices and procedures

· Complete trash/recycling disposal

· Empties/ cleans wastebaskets and trash containers

· Cleans, dusts, and wipes furniture, walls, machines and equipment

· Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies

· Attends to janitorial emergencies when necessary

· Advises manager when:

An assignment is not understood.

An assignment conflicts with knowledge of the circumstances, current skills or available time/resources.

Obstacles to completing the assignment exist or are likely to occur.

· Understands and demonstrates our cultural expectations.

Minimum Role Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Experience in housekeeping, commercial cleaning or related custodial work

· Experience in safe handling of chemicals and cleaning agents

· Experience in waste disposal and recycling protocols

· Basic reading and comprehension (to follow instructions, labels, and safety data)

· Awareness of infection control and hygiene best practices
