Position Summary

LGC Global FM is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Temporary Custodian to provide janitorial services throughout multiple assigned buildings at Detroit Metropolitan Airport. This is a temporary, driving position that requires the employee to travel between designated buildings throughout their shift to complete assigned cleaning and team-cleaning responsibilities.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently, following established cleaning procedures, and completing assigned tasks with minimal supervision. This position also requires transporting cleaning supplies between buildings when inventory is running low.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Travel between multiple assigned buildings throughout the shift to complete scheduled cleaning assignments.
• Participate in team-cleaning tasks and assist coworkers as needed.
• Dust and disinfect surfaces, including frequently touched areas.
• Collect, remove, and dispose of trash from assigned areas.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms.
• Clean and maintain office spaces, breakrooms, kitchenettes, and common areas.
• Clean and maintain hallways and building entrances.
• Vacuum carpeted areas.
• Sweep and mop hard-surface floors.
• Clean entry doors and glass surfaces as assigned.
• Monitor cleaning supply levels and transport supplies to buildings when stock is running low.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in a safe and orderly manner.
• Follow all established cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, and airport access requirements.
• Complete assigned duties within established timeframes while maintaining quality standards.
• Perform other related custodial duties as assigned.
