SUMMARY:

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of state buildings and indoor premises.

Work involves maintaining restrooms and floors clean. Entry level position and works under close supervision

with minimal latitude.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintains cleanliness of state buildings and indoor premises.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for maintaining client’s location clean. This pertains specifically to restrooms and floors within the building/office.
2. Responsible for restroom maintenance, applying cleaning chemicals, mopping, spraying, waxing, and stripping floors.
3. Ability to work with chemicals used for cleaning purposes.
4. Responsible for maintaining adequate supplies and equipment in working order.
5. Demonstrates excellent work habits, maintaining a good attitude.
6. Ensure all safety rules are adhered to.
7. Maintains a high level of confidentiality regarding Goodwill Industries of El Paso, Inc. and persons receiving services.
8. Assists in other areas as requested.
