Custodian Auburn

Part-time positions open: Weekdays and weekend shifts are available: $16 to $17/Hour

General Functions:

Under the direction of the Facilities Director and the Head Custodian, the Custodian will perform custodial services for all facilities associated with the YMCA.

Responsibilities Functions/Duties/Tasks

The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:

• Opening and closing of the facility when required.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Perform routine building cleaning tasks such as dusting, window washing, emptying trash and keeping the grounds free of debris.
• Perform general floor care and cleaning, including vacuuming sweeping and mopping.
• Perform heavy duty floor care such as scrubbing, stripping or waxing and be able to safely operate cleaning equipment.
• Keep soap and paper dispensers stocked.
• Set up, tear down and clean up after scheduled events such as swim meets, tournaments, classes, parties, etc.
• Cleans restrooms and locker rooms including showers.
• Cleans regularly assigned areas as well other areas as needed.
• Snow removal as needed.
• Attends required meetings, completes required training and responds to inquiries in a timely manner.
• All other duties as assigned.
