Join MI Nursing & Restorative Center (MINRC), a key facility within one of New England’s largest and most advanced eldercare communities! We are actively seeking a reliable and meticulous Full-time Custodian to join our Environmental Services Department. This vital role ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

• Schedule: Full-Time

• Shift: 6:30PM- 3:00 PM (Day Shift) includes every other weekend

• Location: MI Nursing & Restorative Center

The Impact of Your Role

You are the standard-bearer for cleanliness and hygiene at MINRC. You will perform a wide range of essential cleaning functions, contributing directly to resident comfort and infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all types of cleaning functions across the facility according to established schedules and procedures.

• Maintain expert knowledge of all work methods, schedules, and chemicals used by the Environmental Services Department.

• Ensure all areas are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained to the highest standards of safety and appearance.

• Manage waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently.

• Report any maintenance issues or supply needs promptly to management.

SUMMARY

Performs many types of cleaning functions and should have knowledge of all schedules, work methods, and chemicals in the Environmental Services Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Floor re finishing.
• Carpet care.
• Wall care.
• Routine floor care.
• Fill in on open schedules.
• Cross train in Laundry and Housekeeping positions.
• Special duties as assigned by Director of Support Operations.
• Abide by the Standards of Conduct which is the basis for the Organizational Integrity Program.
