Custodian/Maintenance

The Arc is currently recruiting for a Custodian as a full time evening position at Brunswick Center.

The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 3pm-11pm.

Brunswick Center is not on a bus line, so your own transportation is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Responsible to Assistant Director or designee for appropriate maintenance tasks.
•Notifies Assistant Director of the need for repairs or situations needing attention at property responsible for.
•Specific tasks will include but not be limited to the following: sweeping, mopping, buffing, taking care of garbage, dusting, washing windows, and minor repairs.
•Adheres to OSHA compliance /hazardous communication standards when utilizing any chemicals.
•Follows assigned schedule to assure appropriate cleanliness of the facility.
•Communicates to Assistant Director or designee any maintenance concerns.
•Responsible for assuring that the facility is properly secured.

Education and/or Experience:
Applicants must have 1 year experience in maintenance work as well as a HS Diploma/GED. Candidates must have reliable transportation to the site in Cropseyville, NY as this location is not on a bus line.
